My Completed MAC Quad

I don't think I have ever been so impatient with completing a project out of work than my MAC quad. I started it before I went to NY in November and have only just completed it! There is something about seeing empty eyeshadow pans that puts me on edge until they are filled up...

I started off with the quad when I popped into my local MAC to look at the 'Soba' eyeshadow, and after chatting to one of staff in there, ended up stuck between Soba & Mulch. I then  realised it was cheaper to buy the quad for £5, and two single eyeshadows as pan refill eyeshadows than the usual eyeshadows in their own packaging. Crazy! Soba is a deep golden brown that is a matte formula with some specks of shimmer in, it's a really versatile shade, & dreamy when blending out! 'Mulch' is perfect when paired with Soba, to contour the outer edge of the eye, but i have used this all over my lower lid & bottom lash line too, and find it really does make my eyes look much brighter. I then went on to buy 'Tempting' in NY but ended up not adding it to my basket (how?!) so bought that once I was back home. It's a lovely pigmented dark bronze brown shade that is perfect for a quick all over the lid kinda look! 'All That Glitters' is a gorgeous rose gold shade that i thought was more on the cream/whiter shimmer shade but once I got home and put it on, the rose gold side to it stood out and made me fall more in love! (The obsession with Rose Gold is far from over)

Swatches of my MAC Quad shades!

I loved completing my Mac quad and would recommend it to anyone! Such a good way to collect neutral shades or to make a handy handbag sized palette with all your favourite shades, perfect for travel as well. I went with mainly neutral/ bronze shades for my quad but have seen that Mac do their own ready made palettes such as the 'Warm Neutral' palette that I have already got my eye on...

Have you ever made your own mac palette up? What shades did you use?
I'm always excited to hear what other people use! :)
